Solo Summers

Solo Summers was established to honour the life of a beloved wife, cherished friend, and radiant spirit whose light continues to guide and inspire.

Solo tragically lost her life to suicide in 2018 after a long and painful struggle with bipolar disorder, rooted in deep childhood trauma that cast a long shadow over her adult years.

In the beginning, I sought to honour her memory by opening an entertainment venue that reflected her early career as a dancer. Though born from love and good intentions, this was the wrong path and did not reflect the way I wish to truly honour her life, her struggles, or her memory.

Reflect, recover, reconnect

Losing someone close deeply affects every part of you—mind, body, and spirit.

I personally struggled helplessly through the many stages of grief, making endless bad decisions, but in that darkness, I was given an unexpected gift: the chance to live in a traditional ashram for an entire year under the mentorship of a respected spiritual teacher. There, I immersed myself in holistic healing practices —which successfully helped me rebuild from within.

This transformative journey inspired me to establish a wellness retreat centre as an environment dedicated to supporting individuals in restoring balance, wellbeing, and clarity.

New beginnings

The first Solo Summers retreat marks a new chapter—one grounded in healing, compassion, and the kind of sanctuary Solo herself would have appreciated.

This retreat, supported by a dedicated network of experienced practitioners, offers a peaceful space for individuals to reflect, recover, and reconnect—a place of solace and transformation..

At the heart of Solo Summers is a commitment to nurturing hope, championing mental health, and creating a legacy defined by kindness, empathy, and understanding. More than just a retreat, this is a living tribute to Solo’s beauty, and the love she sparked in everyone lucky enough to know her.
